Thirdly,the species is endemic to Central America and northern South America.

Fourthly, a seldom seen snake necked turtle from the heavily vegetated swamps and lagoons of southern furthermore, Brazil. Eastern Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina. Commonly known as “Spixii”.

Moreover, Among turtle enthusiasts, very little is known about their living and breeding habits in nature.
